Daniel has his eye patch on this morning, over his good eye.

Since I haven't yet been able to track down the recommended patches (child-sized, with sticking plaster around the rim), we had to put a very makeshift one on this morning, with a wad of padding and four clunky great strips of plaster to hold it down.

He was not impressed.

Though actually I was surprised how fast he adapted. He seems to forget about it until he rubs his face and notices it again. It was reassuring to see him using the bad eye, even though it's hardly moving so he has to move his face a lot more to see things.

I felt bad leaving him, eye-patched, with Angie this morning, but since it was going relatively well with the patch I decided to save my three days of family responsibility leave for later. We may need it more urgently in a few weeks for things like MRI scans, etc.
