Phew. What an unbelievable four months. I've just been released by a bunch of extra-terrestrials who kidnapped my body on Christmas Eve. I've been walking around still looking like me, but not really me at all.

Oh all right then. So I haven't blogged for four months.

Lets do a quick wrap up. Good Christmas with kids, my parents and my brother and his wife. Good times spent with old friends. Uneventful new year (I'm not a new year person, the relentless march of time is not something I find hugely party-inducing). Ten days in Cape Town for baby sister in law's wedding. Took the older of the kids' two cousins around with us seeing bits of Cape Town - some new, most familiar. Return of Daniel's squint. Lots of stress. Cat scan, MRI, and neurological assessment. Eye patches. Start of Grade 1 for Robyn, and start of playschool for Daniel. Huge leaps of social confidence for Lauren, now at school without her sister. Purchase of new car - seven seater Renault Grand Scenic (compact mpv). Total falling-in- love-with of said new car. Parents to airport this morning (yawn, 4.30am wake-up), setting off for Mauritius to celebrate my Mom's 70th birthday on the 10th. Which means my 35th birthday is looming, also on the 10th.
