Busy day yesterday but so satisfying. When I get a chance I must update the Wendy house pictures. Yesterday we dug out the level piece of ground where it is going to be built. I resisted sensible pressure from both father and husband with respect to the location. It was the view from the top of the bank behind the house that I just couldn't resist. Looking out from up there makes you feel you're on the top of the world. You can see far over the roof of our house - trees and trees and trees. So much green. And there is also the litchi tree jungle there as well of course. The digging took most of the day. We did it with Maxwell, who works in our garden once a week. It was a case of digging away at the top of the slope and building up that soil at the bottom of the slope, resulting in a level area. It was very sweet to see Maxwell, Lauren, Robyn, and Daniel all wielding different sized spades together. I also did some of course. There is probably another hour or so to do on the digging. Maxwell is off for his three weeks leave now but the rest of us can easily finish it off today. We have the floor and three walls done now (well, the walls are just wall frames with studs at the moment - cladding will be put on later) and once the fourth wall is done (today probably) we will start putting everything together on the actual site. This project is quite an experience.
