Major feeling of relief this evening, to have finished the course, reminiscent of the way it used to feel after having written one's last exam. It's been a tiring week, as I've been cramming most evenings for the next day's lectures. I'd like to teach a course again some time, only not too soon, and not too often, mainly because working all day is not something I'm very keen on anymore. And of course, it affects Peter as he has to juggle work and the kids.

The students had to evaluate the course, and my lecturing, and the feedback ranged between positive and very positive. It was a nice note on which to end the week.

Since I worked all day this week, I am due to be paid for five extra half-days. I am going to ask the FD if I can be paid in leave, as this will mean fewer days of unpaid leave over the school holidays.

Tonight Peter and I plan to cuddle up in bed (one advantage of our house-in-a-room is watching TV in bed) and feed our only TV addiction - Desperate Housewives.
