Owing to the fact that I spent half an hour yesterday getting our gas cylinders refilled at the camping shop, the electricity came back on yesterday evening.

Hip, hip, hooray!

The electricity people were on our street from mid morning until almost dark when we were switched back on. I skipped down to the gate to thank them. It was just in time as I was starting to come to the end of my tether. I think the worst thing was the revolting food we have been eating since it began. Home cooked food tonight (hopefully cooked by my father-in-law as they are coming for their weekly visit today)!

It's good that they are coming this afternoon I have a checkup with the doctor (I'm 15 weeks now) and the kids won't have to waste their time coming with me. I'm also going to use the available time to get my drivers licence renewed as it expires on Friday. I'll be armed with a book at all times.

Peter found some much better pictures of the storm damage at the coast. Quite something.

Wow, those pictures really bring it home. Glad you are all okay (and that the power is back on).
