The Botox injection is now tentatively scheduled for Thursday morning at 6.30, only Daniel is stil coughing a month after we last saw the paediatrician (who assured us there was no infection, and hence no need for antibiotics unless a temperature subsequently developed, which it didn't). I'm concerned about the implications of a general anaesthetic if he's not completely well, so I'm going back to the paediatrician this afternoon to have him checked again.

The morning of the injection is not going to be pleasant. Since he's going to have a general anaesthetic, he has to starve, preferably from midnight. We have to be at the hospital at 6.30. If necessary I can give him a last feed at 2am, and then if absolutely necessary a couple of tablespoons of clear liquid at 4am - which means water. Since currently he has several feeds during the early hours of the morning, I fear he is going to go ballistic at this.
