We had some new people come over yesterday afternoon for tea - one of the girls Robyn and Lauren do gym with (she's 5), and her mother. I feel a bit sorry for her. She would really have liked another child only her husband was adamant he only wanted one. She observes my three interacting and I can see she's somewhat wistful.

She's very friendly, and we'll be going to their place in a couple of weeks. The girls have been doing gym together all year and we only just found out we live in the same road - barely 6 houses apart.

Peter and I had a great night out. Peter's parents babysat for us, and stayed the night. We had a yummy supper at Simply Fish, and then saw The Terminal. I really enjoyed it. It was so unusual, and based, amazingly and rose-tintedly, on this true story.

What was really unusual was the two of us actually being out, at night, together. I think I probably would have enjoyed Jackie Chan. This incidentally was Peter's first choice.
