Yesterday I spent a good half-hour trying to turn Robyn's hair into a bun.
Why? Because she's going to be dancing in a show in a couple of weeks and tomorrow is the pre-show photo shoot and she has to be in full costume, complete with make-up, and ballet hair, and yesterday was our last chance to perfect the transformation process.
It is remarkably difficult to turn shoulder-length hair into a bun.
The amount of expensive ballet-hair-gel used makes little difference to the end result.
Shoulder-length hair in a bun looks more like a mis-shapen lump of levt-over dough than a bun.
Hair nets are much too big for shoulder-length hair.
Hair nets tear very easily.
Doubling and re-doubling hair nets in an effort to approximate the size of the bun results in a frizzy mess of hair net resembling a lump of carpet fluff.
