Very strange week at work this week. I have had absolutely nothing to do, despite the fact that I have made several attempts to rectify this. Came very close to calling in sick today (I'm sick of this place after all). Today I am just doing my own thing and looking at MySQL, since I've never used it and it may come in handy for some private ventures.

Yesterday afternoon a friend and her daughter came around after gym (her daughter does gym with Robyn and Lauren). Now when I go to someone's house, unless I know them extremely well, I don't tend to shadow them around the house. I might pop in to the kitchen while someone's making tea in there, but that's as far as I'll go. Not this friend. She kind of follows me around the house. Yesterday as soon as we arrived home, Daniel instantly stripped as he had spilt a teeny tiny drop of water on his shorts in the car (he's very particular). I took him up to my room to rummage around in my cupboard for some clean clothes. Daniel shares our clothes cupboard as he doesn't really have a room yet. He has a bed in the playroom, but that's all he has so far. She was hot on my heels up the passage to the bedroom, and stood helpfully at my shoulder while I had a brief discussion with Daniel on the complete lack of clean shorts on his shelf (he goes through clothes very rapidly). It's very disconcerting. I was very aware of some of the (ahem) things in my cupboard. And the things that don't really belong in a clothes cupboard (wrapping paper, broken toys, etc, etc). Not to mention the total and utter chaos.

She followed me around the entire afternoon. I think we have different ideas of personal space.

I decided it was safer not to go to the toilet until they'd gone home.
