Considering I have not parallel parked since getting my Renault at the beginning of last year, this feature would definitely be something to look out for when it becomes time to replace it in a few years. Not that I would defect to a Touran though, but presumably this sort of thing will just become standard in similar cars.
We now (fanfare) have curtains. (Except for the kitchen and bathrooms.) Very exciting. Pity we can't afford any furniture, but the curtains make a huge difference. The curtain / interior decorating woman stopped in briefly on Curtain Day and I think was a bit horrified that everything is still so stark. There are so many demands on our time though. Shopping for house things and hanging pictures and such does not rate highly on the kids' list of fun things to do. And it's not like I swan around all morning while my kids are in school. I have finally figured out what women who don't work, have someone to clean and cook and look after their kids (or have kids at school) actually do. They interior decorate.
I actually was about to hang a picture the other day, though. Got the picture out, found the hook thingy, the tape measure. Unfortunately the hammer has disappeared. In fact the hammers have disappeared since we recently bought a second one because the first had disappeared. Just how many hammers does a household need in order to be able to find at least one of them any given time? More than two, apparently.
Our approach to other essential and disappearing things, like sun-cream and sticky tape, is to buy dozens of them. Then you can't help finding one whether you like it or not. The other evening I was cleaning out a bathroom cupboard and unearthed six bottles of suncream.
Did You Know: Old packets of baby wipes can actually go mouldy?
