Hooray!

After the right eye made a brief stab at getting in on the oozing action, both eyes suddenly started to get better on Saturday afternoon, and now I have whites of the eyes which are, in fact, pretty much white. This is indescribably exciting.

Was glad not to be a hard-core fundamentalist christian, as my eye was making me pretty crotchety.

Had the thrill of driving Peter's vroomy machine to work this morning, as he is taking my bus so that he can drop off the tumble drier at the appliance repair place this morning.

Zooooooooooooooom.

It was a good weekend, very varied weather-wise, with Saturday extremely hot, a major hail-storm on Saturday night, and Sunday cold, misty, and strewn with indoor washing (courtesy of the untumbling tumble-drier). Sunday afternoon was devoted to a blood-thirsty game of monopoly in which Peter heartlessly annihilated his entire family. Every single chance card he got gave him vast quantities of money or else advanced him to begin, whereas every card I got sent me to jail (do not pass begin, do not collect R20000).

On Saturday morning we made a start at converting our ballroom / indoor sports hall to a lounge. We went to choose some couch styles and later some fabric. If the quote turns out ok, we will be having a red fabric, with a sort of weave in it, for the couches, and a red, tan and white striped fabric for the chairs.
