Hooray!
I took Danny back to the opthalmologist for the fourth time yesterday and he says he thinks he sees a flicker of movement now! After I returned home my mom-in-law said she'd thought the same. I guess it's easier for them to notice, only seeing him once a week. We'd been hoping, but not wanting to get over-optimistic.
While I was there, I asked the doctor more about the scan and surgery options, if his eye doesn't heal properly. They can do amazing things, including taking some of the muscle tissue that is responsible for vertical movement and replacing some of the tissue that's responsible for horizontal movement.
He said hopefully it won't come to that though. By next week's visit we should start seeing more definite signs of recovery.
After the appointment I spent the rest of the afternoon in the pool with the kids. Robyn had a friend, and also the kids' Granny and Grandpa were there, so it was a raucous but happy afternoon.
I love being at home in the afternoons so much.
And then later Peter arrived home with delicious gourmet meal ingredients, fed the kids, and cooked me supper.
A good day.
