Today was the day for Daniel's weekly checkup with the opthalmologist. No good news, really. There's not been any improvement over the last week.

He's giving it one more week and then we're going to start on other options. The first thing to do will be a surgical procedure to inject Botox into his inner eye muscle to paralyse it to allow the other muscle an opportunity to start working again. He'll need to write a letter of motivation to our medical aid, as the stuff is incredible expensive. It's often shared across a group of patients, as it comes in a vial often too big for one person (why, I wonder). The doctor currently has such a group scheduled for a shared vial in May, which is too long for us to wait.

So today was rather blah. On the up side, I did phone the schools that we're considering for Robyn for next year, which I've been putting off for a while. I got all the relevant dates and gave them my details so they could send application forms. I also phoned (well, left a message for) the architect who's supposed to be developing plans for our extensions, but from whom we haven't heard since November. He's just had a new baby, which hopefully explains his disappearance from view. Nice to erase a couple of things from the fridge to-do whiteboard.

This is unrelated, but priceless.
