Yay, Friday. This afternoon the kids and I are going to make apple pie with a whole bunch of apples that have been around too long and are going bad in patches. Isn't that terribly responsible and frugal of me.

Tomorrow the kids are spending a day and night with my parents. I am going to drop them off on Saturday morning, come back and have lunch somewhere indulgent with Peter, and then lie and read my book for several hours either on the lawn or on the bed depending on the weather, surrounded by an assortment of tempting snacks. We will be spending the evening at a friend's 40th birthday party, then sleeping for at least 8 hours with no one else in our bed and possibly even lying in decadently on Sunday morning, before going up to PMB at lunchtime to have a picnic with the kids and my parents.

Hard to say who is looking forward to the weekend more - the kids or us.
